Community Aviation Consultation Group  (CACG)

The Community Aviation Consultation Group (CACG) provides an independent forum for open discussion about Launceston Airport. It allows members to share opinions, raise concerns, and exchange information, helping ensure that community views are heard and considered. The group also supports the airport in identifying current and emerging community trends, with a shared commitment to working through any issues that may arise in a constructive and collaborative way.

While the CACG plays an important advisory role, it is not a decision-making or arbitration body, and meetings are managed to ensure no single topic or individual dominates the discussion. The group has no authority to set or implement airport policy.

The CACG brings together a broad mix of community stakeholders who have an interest in the airport. Meetings are held twice a year and are chaired independently by James McKee.

The establishment of the CACG aligns with the Federal Government’s Aviation White Paper recommendations and the amendments made to the Airports Act.
